For the Family

This is the best way that I know of to let the family look at pictures and let me know if they want any prints. Don't worry if you aren't family, you can still peruse the pictures.

A little background, these pictures were taken a couple of days before the boys turned two. As luck would have it, they were both sick and puking but thanks to our amazing photographer we got some really cute ones!

We had family pictures taken while we were in Utah (more to come) but for now here are a few that I am going to hang in their bedroom. I couldn't decide which one I liked better of Kekoa and unfortunately Makaio was not a big fan of pictures in the beginning so this is the only one that we have of him.

Tell me what you think!

Vacation was O.K.

We went on vacation at the end of May and though we loved seeing family and being a part of Shauna and Britton's wedding, our vacation was just okay. Perhaps it is hard to remember the good times when most of our memories regarding our vacation are foiled with thoughts of vomit and diarrhea and sleepless nights and clingy children and very little fun for everyone involved.

This is a picture of Makaio snuggling his stuffed animal while trying to get some sleep. There was no way he was going to let go of monkey, not even while he was sleeping.

Most of our other pictures weren't taken by us but by my sister-in-law Katie who wasn't dealing with super sick children. Thanks Katie for being on top of things and remembering your camera! We love you!

You can tell that Kekoa isn't feeling that great but he still went to the water park so that we could spend time with family. I think he was a little sad that he couldn't play in the water but mostly he was content to sit by me and jut relax.

These pictures of Makaio were taken a day or two before he came down with whatever was ailing Kekoa.

And lastly, I think Sterling had just as much fun as Makaio did at the park or maybe his face just makes me think that he did!

Back to Blogging

I have been MIA in the blogging world for a while and I know that I need to make it back. We went on vacation, got sick on vacation, returned sick from vacation and then passed it amongst ourselves for weeks, had a million appointments that we needed to catch up on and we are finally getting back into the swing of things.

I will be back within the next couple of days to tell stories and post pictures but in the meantime, you'll just have to wait.

Still Delicious

Today I made my very first batch of vegan chocolate chip cookies and I have to tell you that they were just as delicious as the other ones that I used to make.

Perhaps the consistency wasn't the same but the goodness of the cookies was pretty amazing. The boys even like them and I think that is saying something. Kekoa kept asking for more and Makaio savored the cookie right down to it's last crumb. I am glad that something I love so much has been converted to a vegan variety!
