Halloween Preview

Neither one of us is a fan of Halloween but since Tutu sent us costumes this year, we went with it. The Zoo Keeper and his little Panda just headed to the Trunk-or-Treat. I must say that the last minute Zoo Keeper costume didn't turn out that bad. Unfortunately Kekoa and I are home sick but we'll celebrate the night by watching Game 7.

On Halloween we'll take pictures of both bears and both zoo keepers and post them for your viewing pleasure.

Easing our Pain

After 16 months of life we experienced our first diaper rash. I felt pain because I was so neglectful and allowed my child to get a rash. Sterling felt the pain each and every time he changed a diaper and heard Kekoa scream, I could actually see the pain on his face. Kekoa felt the pain with each dirty diaper. Makaio was just as happy as ever so I guess there was no pain there.

The only cure seemed to be a lot of baths and time. The lesson I learned...DO NOT EVER USE DESITIN! All I know is that I would be fine if we didn't experience that again for another 16 years!

Being a Mom Stinks Sometimes

Yesterday Makaio and I were headed to his PT appointment, late of course, when I suddenly realized that I had forgotten his diaper bag. At first I started to freak out and I called Sterling, of course there was nothing to be done. So I resorted to praying like crazy that he wouldn't poop while we were at PT. However, knowing my little machine, I knew that at about 9:00 he would be dropping off his first load of the day. Sure enough we get to PT and I smelled something a little putrid and I knew it was his brand. I was hoping that it was just a toot but the giant bulge in his diaper lead me to believe otherwise.

It was a really large and stinky poop that I could do nothing about. I was thinking of going into the bathroom and dumping it out of his diaper and hoping that would do the trick. However, even though my prayer for no poop was not answered I did find a spare diaper in the bathroom and you better believe that I used it!

CLARIFICATION: The title of this post is in reference to the stinky diaper and not that I dislike being a mother.

Auntie Chelsy Visits

Ode to Chelsy

We like Chelsy a whole lot
She has money, our parents do not
She took us to the zoo
Auntie Chelsy is pretty coo'

She will hold us when we cry
Mommy doesn't do that we don't know why
Her next visit won't be soon enough
Life without Chelsy is pretty rough

Next time our visit might be more fun
Instead of crawling we'll be on the run
Nashville has may things to do
Be like Chelsy and visit us too!

Now That's Funny

This past week my sister Chelsy came to visit and we wore the babies out. This picture is proof that Makaio was extremely tired. He usually falls asleep on his hands but then moves them at some point during his nap. This time was different. He fell asleep in the same exact position in which he woke up. The end result was hand prints on his face.

Perhaps he is working on war paint for Halloween. Whatever the case may be, we laughed just as hard as he did!
